If your NDIS goals involve physical function or participation, you may be considering exercise physiology. Before booking, clarify how the proposed service relates to your disability-related needs and whether your plan can fund it.
Enhanced Physio has an Exercise Physiology booking route at Runcorn. Call before an NDIS-related appointment so the service, funding and payment arrangements can be checked. We do not advertise this Exercise Physiology route for Southport.
A therapy goal is more specific than “get fitter”
The NDIS includes exercise physiology among therapy supports that may be funded when relevant requirements are met. It is not automatic funding for any exercise programme. The support must fit your plan and the applicable rules. Read the NDIS explanation of therapy supports.
Think about what you want to do more independently or participate in more fully. Bring the relevant goals and any existing advice. Ask how an assessment would connect the proposed exercise programme to those goals and how progress would be reviewed.
Check the service and provider requirements
Ask whether the practitioner, appointment and invoicing arrangement are appropriate for your plan management type. A clinic offering the service does not by itself establish funding eligibility or provider-registration requirements for your circumstances.
It can be helpful to involve your plan manager or support coordinator before the appointment, if you have one. Share only the plan information needed to check the arrangement, and ask what records or reports would be required.
Confirm the full costs
- The assessment and follow-up appointment fees.
- Any agreed report-writing or non-face-to-face charges.
- Whether a service agreement is needed and what it covers.
- The cancellation terms and how invoices will be handled.
- Any costs that would remain your responsibility.
Gym or pool membership and general fitness services are not interchangeable with a funded therapy appointment. Do not assume that an exercise-related expense is claimable because exercise physiology appears in your plan. Check the NDIS therapy-support inclusions and exclusions.
Arrange the Runcorn appointment
Call 1300 833 866 and ask about an NDIS-related Exercise Physiology appointment at Runcorn. You can also view the Exercise Physiology service and booking route. Confirm the arrangement before using a general booking option; a free initial physiotherapy offer does not establish NDIS funding or free ongoing exercise physiology.
