What is a Physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists are experts in the structure of the human body. Not only that they will diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, but they also assist and manage chronic health conditions like diabetes, osteoarthritis, obesity and stroke.
What do I need to bring?
Although it is often not necessary. it will assist us with the diagnosis and treatment planning if you can bring any relevant imaging reports or doctor’s referrals that you have.
How many visits will I need?
There are guidelines for different injuries, but there are also different multiple contributing factors that will affect us differently, that affect the prognosis of your injury. Our physiotherapists will ask you specific questions about your injury, perform a series of tests to help provide you with a diagnosis and give you a treatment plan that will fast track your recovery.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Some comfortable and loose clothing will be fine.
Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
You do not need a referral to start your physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
The duration of treatment is determined by factors such as your diagnosis, the severity of impairments, past medical history, and other relevant considerations. Regular re-evaluations will be conducted to assess your progress, and our therapists will collaborate with your physician to ensure your therapy goals are met.
Our expertise covers a broad spectrum of conditions and diagnoses, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Please visit our Services for an extensive list of conditions and diagnoses we see patients for.
