What is a Physiotherapist?

What do I need to bring?

Please bring:

  • Any scans or medical reports you have
  • Comfortable clothes you can move in
  • Your health fund card (if you have one)
  • Any referral letters (if you have them)
  • Medicare card (if you have one)
  • A list of your current medications

How many visits will I need?

Every person is different! After your first visit and detailed assessment, we’ll give you a clear treatment plan that shows:

  • The diagnosis of your injury or pain
  • How many sessions you might need
  • How to fast track your recovery
  • What we’ll do in each session
  • What results you can expect
  • How you can help yourself at home

How do I make an appointment?

It’s easy! You can:

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No! You can come straight to us without a referral. However, if you have a referral from your doctor, bring it along as it might help with your treatment plan.
How long will I need physiotherapy?

“How long will your treatment take?” It depends on a few things:

  • What condition you have
  • How serious it is
  • Your health history
  • How your body responds to treatment
 

Don’t worry though – we’ll keep a close eye on how you’re getting better. We’ll check your progress regularly and work with your doctor to make sure you’re reaching your health goals. Think of it like a journey – we’re here to guide you every step of the way!
